Lingfield
12.35 – #1 Negotiation
Mainly a 4-5 grader, decent runner at good form in his last starts. The drop in class will suit him very much as placing 2nd in his last two starts at grade 5 and now will have a better chance to land 1st. On board is Franny Norton who lead the 4 year old to his two 2nd placing at Kempton. Though no recent wins records at current trip distance, his performance in his lasts at Kempton prove he can handle the trip very well. Drawn in the middle, and with weights within a reasonable scale this runner is set for the win.
@ 7/4
1.35 – #2 Forty Proof
In top form of late, excellent performance here about two weeks ago, coming 1st at a grade 4 same as current run. The only runner to pose a threat to him is Loki’s Revenge, now up by 8bs in weights which will defintely hold him back from overpowering the 2 year old colt like the last in Kempton. Will handle the trip and draw, and having advantage of being ridden by Shane Kelly, same jockey in last top form runs.
Finished last
2.45 – #7 Blue Moon
In top form of late. two wins, two 2nd placing and one 3rd placing in her last five starts, all at grade 5 except for one run at grade 6. Course and distance winner, Drawn beautifully to maximize abilities as already proven to handle wider draws. Weights at reasonable allocation, and even dropped a bit which might give her a bit more room to breath in this run.
Won @ 7/2
Kempton
5.40 – #9 The Happy Hammer
Decent form in grade 5 in three of his last starts, excuses for his 5th here and now back to field dropped in weights and drawn low. Proven over distance and with William Carson on board who knows his way with this 4 year old.
Finished 5th

Wolverhampton
1.25 – #7 Fear Nothing
Gave a good run here last time placing 3rd to Grudge, an excellent 5 grader with a decent life time form, experienced Wolverhampton and proven able on distance. Drawn lowest which will assist him in getting involved, weights down by 2lb since last run here and could mean he’ll have a bit more to give in this run. Last run Adam Kirby mount the 3 year old, same as now, suggesting Kirby will be able to lead the horse to land in frame. Very high odds, e/w advised.
Finished 7th
3.10 – #10 Black Coffee
Won his last run here over slow going, proven over course and distance and improving in form under Shane Kelly. Well drawn which will probably give him an edge, lowered in weights by 3lb since his last win here and might have extra to give. All in all a decent form horse, had his way in grade 5 and should have his way in this one as well.
Finished 7th
3.40 – #10 Fastnet Storm
Won over course and distance in his last here, running mainly class 3 however have already proven on grade 2 before and in two of his last so current grade of no issue for him. Drawn a bit high, however last run here where first with Graham Gibbons on board, drawn higher so current draw won’t hold him back. Up in weights a bit, nothing of significance and believed to be able to carry all the way to the finish line.
Finished 10th
4.10 – #10 Port Hill
The only contender in the card to have form on slow going at Wolverhampton, and holds both course and distance records. Draw will not hold back, weights down, no real opposition here and with Shane Kelly on board will push forward to land a win.
Finished 6th
Shameful horse racing tips in this one, will do better next time.

Lingfield
1.10 – #7 Highland Harvest
Most of his life time starts at grade 4 and 5, not very consistent however still able to deliver given the right conditions. His last two starts here at grade 5 not much success however decent enough to have a shot at running this one on the better side. Trip will suit as already proven able over 1 mile, drawn lowest and though no distinction over which draw suits him best, will have an advantage over the fav Sirjosh with the former’s top speed figures just above the fav’s. Weights a bit of an issue here, close to top weights by 1 lb, however has prevailed before with such, and could do the same here.
Won @ 13/1
1.40 – #7 Sutton Veny
On good form in her last 3 starts placing 2nd to Piscean in two of them, however this time drawn lower so advantage here for her over the latter. Struggled a bit of late but showing good progress under Steve Drowne, which rides her once more. able on distance and second to Silaah on top speed figures, the latter being way off his league in this one. Highly competitive race with many able contenders, advised e/w as betting forecast predicts a price of about 9/1.
Finished 6th
2.50 – # 7 Fly By Nelly
Coming 2nd here last month and having a rather moderate form of late, however still have a lot more to give. low middle draw and reasonable weights to assist the run, top speed rated.
Finished 8th
3.25 – #8 Sheila’s Bond
Mostly a 6 grader however some form at grade 5, especially her last here when 2nd to Mush Mir, suggesting extras for this filly to perform on track. Lingfield favorite field for her, having most of her good form runs conducted here under Luke Morris who lead most of her wins and placings and will do the same here. Reasonably drawn, weights of no significant change and with trip distance abilities should land in frame if not win.

Southwell
12.45 – #7 Silk Bonuty
A young colt who struggled over grade 5 in his last 5 starts, not much success however no disgrace as placing 3rd once and landing 4th and 5th in the rest except for the last run here where coming last out of 5 runners, probably due to going, but will take on surface this time. This time lowered in grade, a move which will definitely bring him closer to land in frame, weights are of no issue, though no remarkable records over such however drop in grade combined with current weights will suit him very much. Top speed figures increase with every run, suggesting this time around to overpower rivals and land the odds.
2nd @ 5/1
1.15 – #7 Colorus
5 course and distance under his wing, a good handicapper who knows his way at Southwell. Running mostly grade 4 and 5 with last runs all being in frame, now drooped in grade and should be involved. Weights of significant change from last runs and given he’s down in grade makes it easier for this veteran 7 year old to land in frame.
Won @ 3/1
3.00 – #4 General Tufto
Course and distance winner, 8 wins here. An experienced 5 grader, now running 1 mile, and seems to do best running this trip distance. Benefits the low draw and able on the slow going, weights won’t hold him back as already proven under such.
Finished 5th
A good day of horse racing results for us punters.
