Southwell

2.50 – #4 Short Supply
Performing well in her last two starts here and loves Southwell in general, now back in the field with conditions to suit. Weights same as last two races here and should go well again under these, also a no disgrace 4th in a maiden hurdle lately suggesting she’s still in form and would deliver this time around as well. Drawn nicely in mid wide and under Graham Gibbons, same mount as last two Southwell stars where one win one 2nd placing. opposed by Rosewood Lad, poses a big threat but under a serious penalty which may wall hold him back in this trial.

3.20 – 2# Punching
Course and distance winner performing well in this field winning three times in his last three starts here. Beat two leading contenders in this trial, Bonnie Prince Blue and Ingleby Arch, the former now up in weights and the latter inconsistent in his form so should be able to leave them behind once more. Weights within his ability scale, drawn wide but proven to handle on such. On board is Hayley Turner, probably the most significant factor here as all three wins here when mount this 7 year old, seems to have way with him and possibilities here as well.

4.20 – #4 Steed
Brilliant in his last three starts winning two of them here and should go well once more. Beat Mr Emirati, one of the leading runners here who was also beaten by Bentley which was beaten by Steed as well so a chain of  superior-inferior can be easily derived from these past results. Drawn nicely, up in weights but not too much and should handle these conditions. Philip Makin on board, had him for latest wins here

Lingfield

2.30 – #3 Tuxedo
Last four races conducted fairly well all the way to a good second here two weeks ago, suggesting he’s now able on course and distance. Dropped 2lb and will earn more room to breath easing on stamina, beautifully drawn to allow him to get ahead the others. Ridden by Luke Morris, had him on board a lot recently with no disgrace and seemed to have a special bond with current jockey as team up appeared in almost 50% of all previous starts showing good results.

3.35 – #3 Lingfield Bound
Strong and leading course and distance winner coming out of a rough period, showing much improvement in his last three races, all conducted here under same conditions as current run. Weights suit his abilities, drawn to engage and under Luke Morris who had him in all of his three comeback starts, winning twice and placing 3rd in one.

Finished 5th

4.10 – #6 Greenhead High
A fair runner showing improvement in his last starts, running a mild 3rd here last month same class as current run, now dropped in weights and drawn better and should have an edge in this competitive field. Ridden by J-P Guillambert who seems to know his way with this young gelding.

4.40 – #7 Chinese Democracy
A young able filly with much experience, running well of late except for last race where excuses for disappointing 8. Will handle weights and will also benefit the low draw. Cathy Gannon on board, team up shows good results in past races, suggesting chances here once more.

Southwell

2.15 – #4 Juarla
Leading contender for this run, beat Go Maggie Go at Wolverhampton at the beginning of last month and should be able to overpower her once more. Proven on distance and loves the 5f, weights dropped back to those when winning at Wolverhampton so big advantage here. Played well in his last 4 starts under Luke Morris who’s mount the young colt for this run as well suggesting possibilities for him in this field. Drawn mid wide, which is of significance for him as no preferred position to derive from previous races but should use the mid position to get ahead of things. Top rated and top speed figures at his side.

3.45 – #6 Ace Of Spies
Course and distance winner, running well in his last three starts here and recent form of no disgrace. Last two starts conducted under heavy weights, now dropped significantly and also running a shorter trip than in last two starts and should benefit as a result.  Kirsty Milczarek on board the 6 year old, been on board for the gelding’s last 5 races having done fairly well with him so should be able to give a nice show this time around as well. Only downsize is the wide draw, hopefully all other advantages to compensate.

4.45 -#2 Mediterranean Sea
The leading in this race, an almost certain win contender with every bit of conditions at her side. Excellent form of late, course and distance winner running her last 4 starts here at Southwell and placing 2nd in all of them. Dropped 5lb down since placing 2nd in her last here, drawn low and with highest top speed figures in the card. Teamed up with Stephen Craine who lead her well performed runs and should do so here as well.

Wolverhampton

2.25 – #3 Your Gifted
On a winning spree in her last 6 starts, showing good form and excellent skills placing all her of her latest and winning in her last. Yet to have Wolverhampton in her records, this run should change that, as she is well fit for this challenge and with abilities. Two downsizes, drawn wide but won’t struggle over it as proven to handle such draw coming 2nd at Southwell, also up 6lb since her last win and considered to be a test for her stamina. Distance and going to her liking, should place if not win.

4.05 – #5 Army Of Stars
Performing well in his last 4 starts, proven on distance and should go well here.  Down 2lb giving him a bit more room to breath in this run, drawn wide which is of a disadvantage for him though dealt this conditions before, hopefully he’ll cope. Franny Norton mount the 5 year old, been his jockey for the last couple of starts placing 3rd, suggests Franny here will give it all to lead home.

4.35 – #3 Faithful Ruler
Course and distance winner, consistent sort who landed a decent third here a few days ago one grade higher than current run. Shown good skills in previous races two and three grades higher, now dropped in grade and with weights dropped  4lb, a good mid wide draw is all that is needed to complete the picture.  Luke Morris on board, same mount as last two starts winning at Lingfield and Placing 3rd of 11 here.

Musselburgh

1.30 – #3 Moon Indigo
running well into decent form in 3 of his last starts at grade 4 followed by a no disgrace 4th at grade 1 about 20 days ago. This trial suits better than last start, going and distance to his liking and carries only 4lb more than his Warwick 4th. Brian Hughes on board, team up showed satisfying results lately and should deliver the same in here. Leading contender and rival to Moon, Skint, now up 9lb and with no previous distance success.

2nd @ 5/2

3.00 -#3 Gilbarry
Top speed runner, will appreciate the step up in trip and reasonable on the weights. Showing good form in his last 4 starts including grade 3 win, same grade as current run. Opposed by Nafaath, though proven on distance, plays inconsistently, and by Film Festival who’s more able but shows signs of wearing down lately.

3.35 – #8 Drill Sergeant
Running well of late with excuses for last where coming 8th, now return to a shorter trip will suit. Weights of no issue for this 6 year old, proven on distance and should have a good run with Jason Maguire on board.
